The first afterwork of Deveco: AI applied to the industrial sector
We celebrated our first afterwork in Zaragoza, where two of our clients shared real-life cases of AI applied to business. It was a day of learning, discussion, and networking that we will continue from September with new monthly meetings.

Yesterday, 17 June, we held our first afterwork in Zaragoza. A different format from the one we are used to at technology events: no external speakers, no product demos. The people who took the floor were two of our clients.
Real cases, firsthand
Íñigo Laín, General Manager of Zaragoza Central Bus Station, showed live how HeyLaia works in his organisation. A live demonstration that made clear how AI can handle customer activity by phone and WhatsApp autonomously and efficiently.
Alejandro Sánchez, Manager at AST Motorsport Roll Cages, a company specialising in safety structures for racing, also shared his experience with the AI-powered WhatsApp assistant. In his case, the technology has transformed the way they manage their business communications with customers from all over the world.
What we took away
The round of questions and the subsequent discussion confirmed something we already had a hunch about: there is a great deal of interest among companies in Aragon for AI applied to business, and a great desire to delve deeper. Not as a trend, but as a real tool with measurable results.
The most interesting conversations came later, during the networking session, with Spanish wine and tapas. That informal time is often when the most valuable exchanges take place.
Starting in September, from Deveco, a technology and AI consulting firm in Zaragoza, we will organize a monthly artificial intelligence event focused on different sectors. The idea is to create a space where companies from Aragon can see the technology applied in other businesses in their sector, learn from others, and ask the questions that really interest them.
