Deveco at the 2026 World Solar Energy Forum in Mexico
Deveco participates in the 2026 World Solar Energy Forum, which takes place on October 21 and 22 in Villa Toscana, Hermosillo (Sonora, Mexico).
22/10/2026
Our three founding partners, Javier Senz, Carlos Zapatero and Miguel Laguna, have traveled to share how artificial intelligence can improve the management of solar energy.
The participation comes from the hands of TECNARA, the ICT cluster of Aragon, and at the invitation of the Sonora Energy Cluster, which makes it possible for a technological consultant from Zaragoza to be present at one of the main international meetings on solar energy. A forum that brings together companies, administrations and professionals from a sector with enormous potential for technological transformation.
What is the World Solar Energy Forum?
The World Solar Energy Forum is an international meeting organized by the Government of Hermosillo. In 2026 it celebrates its fifth edition, with representatives from nearly 18 countries and fair and efficient energy transition as its central axis (El Imparcial).
The program addresses clean energy, financing solar projects, energy efficiency, electric mobility, and distributed generation. The inaugural session featured Justin Trudeau, former Prime Minister of Canada, who spoke about the present and future of renewable energy.
Why in Hermosillo
Hermosillo is known as the City of the Sun, and its city council wants to turn it into the Solar City (Mexico Business News). According to its mayor, a solar panel there produces twice the electricity as in Mexico City. Few better places to talk about the future of solar energy.
Our presentation: the energy that thinks
Deveco’s presentation is titled “Energy that thinks: artificial intelligence for buying, storing, and selling at the optimal moment.” The underlying idea is simple: with good data and good technology, every kWh of solar energy can yield significantly more.
A solar installation with a battery makes constant decisions. When to consume, when to charge the battery, and when to sell the surplus. Doing it right depends on many variables at once, and that's where AI makes the difference:
- Continuously measure consumption, production and battery status
- Learning the consumption patterns of each company: shifts, days, and seasons
- Cross it with solar forecast and energy price
- Plan ahead and recalculate as conditions change
Thank you for making it possible
Thanks to the Sonora Energy Cluster for the invitation and TECNARA for joining us in this participation. It was a good opportunity to exchange knowledge and get to know a key sector closely.
Does your company have a solar installation with a battery and would you like to know how much more it could produce? Let's talk.
